Article Marketing Goes Viral : Free Traffic System

Viral Article Marketing

Viral Article Marketing

Because yesterdays post was so unclear I thought I would make a followup post to fully explain what free traffic system is and how you will benefit from it!

free traffic system is in my opinion one of the most inventive ways to viral market I have ever found. This should be the next great wave in article marketing and where most article marketing directories should be pushing towards. What free traffic system really is, is a new form of article marketing that is actually not only viral but the single most viral program I have ever found.

First of all let me explain the way a traditional article marketing directory works then I will tell you how the free traffic system has improved upon that. In traditional article marketing you create an account at a free article directory website and submit articles.

With article marketing when you submit an article to an article directory you are granting other people who find the article rights to republish, so long as they leave your credits in tact. Most article directory sites allow you to have 2 top level domain name links in your resource box, ie. the place where you leave credits. Most article directories do not allow you to have links within the contents of the articles.

**Note If you don’t understand a TLD or top level domain is www somedomain com or www.somedomain.info as opposed to www somedomain com/somepage html or subdomain domain com

The reason you submit content to these directory sites and the way the reason article marketing is so beneficial is you are hoping that other people find and republish your articles. The reason you want people to do this is because you left a link back to your site at the bottom of the page. Assuming you link used targeted keywords, this helps increase your seo for a particular keyword or key phrase. The more people who use your articles, the more links you have coming back to your site using the giving keywords.

Now logically with the traditional article marketing system the more articles you publish the more likely someone will find one of your articles and republish it for themselves. So the idea has been to write as many articles as possible and submit each one to as many directory sites as you can.

The first problem that arises with the traditional article marketing method of old is what Google has recently deemed as duplicate content. Now despite claims, duplicate content will not get you banned from search engines, but it doesn’t really help you an awful lot either.

When searching for links back to your site Google now looks at the site linking back and checks the contents of the site to see if they are exactly the same as other sites who link to your site. If they find duplicate content, they only count the link one time. The highest pagerank sites gets the vote. This means if you publish an article linking back to your PR1 blog and five pr2 and one pr3 sites republish your article, only the one PR3 gets counted by Google.

There is a slight fix to this little issue. That fix is known in the article marketing world as article spinning, article rewriting, and article mixing. The practice is done with software by replacing as many words in an article as possible with synonyms. The idea is to generate a new article that says identical things in different ways. Then you take each of these newly created article and submit them to various article marketing directories.

The hope behind this practice is different people from different directories will use the articles and your content will be more diversified. The reason this method doesn’t work so great is because if one article directory gets 15 people to republish your article, its still only being counted as one person in Google.

Now after all this work, you know what you will find? That better then 25% of people who republish article remove the credits. That means 25% of your potential traffic is never finding you site because your links are being removed or replaced! This is also frustrating and unfortunately with the old article marketing method, there is no fix. But alas we have a new article marketing method!

The method has been labeled the free traffic system. The free traffic system has taken this old method of article marketing and revamped it to make it more then 100 times more effective. The first thing they did was create a unique system that mixes your articles on the fly whenever an author wants to republish it.

Although this may sound like something simple, this is anything but. What free traffic system has done with this feature alone makes article marketing the most powerful thing on the internet. Imagine that you submit 1 article to the free traffic system and 10 people republish it. That means unlike with traditional article marketing where each of those 10 people will have published the same article, with free traffic system you get 10 people publishing 1 unique article each.

That means instead of Google seeing just one link, now it is seeing 10 different links to your site and counting each and every one. As if that alone isn’t enough that’s only the beginning of the revamp process. Free traffic program doesn’t stop there at all.

The next thing free traffic program did was remove the concept of the resource box and article credits. They actually allow you to build your links right into your articles, but they still only allow you 2. This is very important for a couple of reasons.

First statistically speaking, people are more likely to click on links that are embedded within an article. It generally tends to flow with the content and only comes natural to check out what the content is talking about. Second, they look a lot less like advertisements this way. Seeing a bunch of links at the end of an article is often associated with Google adsense ads and similar type programs. This cuts that fact down tremendously. Lastly it discourages people from removing your links! They have to do a lot more work to find a relevant link to replace it and can’t simply remove your link this way.

Okay continuing on, this next thing is what I believe really gives free traffic system its ultimate power and advantage. What the have done over at free traffic system is added an incentive based program for wordpress users to add their blog to their system which will randomly post predefined relevant content at predefined intervals to their blogs. This means unlike with traditional article marketing free traffic program actually encourages and ensures that your articles get republished.

The way the incentive program works is this. They give you 7% more backlinks if you add your blog to the system. How can they guarantee that? They allow you to add extra links back to your site under alternative keywords! So if you are paying attention. What I have just explained to you about free traffic system already makes them the most unique article marketing system on the internet and it makes them one of the most useful means of marketing I have ever found.

However it still doesn’t end there. free traffic system has even more to offer. First of all Free traffic system offers a viral based incentive program. The way that works is for every person you refer to the system, you get a link on 1 out of every 3 articles they publish. So if you refer 1 person to free traffic system, you get an extra link on the first article they post, then again on the forth article, then again on the seventh, and so on. That’s a HUGE bonus.

All this stuff is honestly completely free when you use the free traffic system. However their is a paid aspect of this system also. In fact the paid aspect is so good I opted to purchase the $350 lifetime membership instead of the monthly plan. Anyways as I explained you get 2 links in every article. When you purchase a membership with free traffic system your 2 links goes to 3 links inside the article.

Also they give all free members 1 category topic the links to their website. This is kind of a bonus link to your site when you create your articles. For paid members that extra 1 link turns into an extra 7 links. This makes free traffic system one of the most powerful marketing systems ever created, one of the most viral marketing systems ever created, and the absolute most cutting edge for article marketing.

So if you have been doing the math, great, if not let me sum this up for you. With a free account on the free traffic system, if you create one article, in that article you add two links, you get one additional category link for a total of three links, and free traffic system averages around 30 republications per article, making the total 90 backlink for submitting 1 article.

1 article x 30 rewritten publications x 3 links each = 90 backlinks.

So what do you think? Have you seen a better program?

How can I get on google page 1? Viral Backlink Building

One way backlinks are one of the most excellent and for the most part efficient ways to pick up prominent positions in search engines and milk these positions in support of targeted traffic. But getting quality one way links is a significant and relentless job.

Before getting to the viral part of the project, it is of great magnitude to explain where exactly you are getting these backlinks from. The backlinks are built inside real blogging site posts, not in the footer or blogroll but rather in the very body of a real, unique blogging site post. This is the most safe and reliable way to generate one way links, for the reason that you give out real unique content to the visitors of the blogging sites post and search engines will for ever and a day welcome it – search engines were shaped to help public in finding quality information in the world wide web.

You find backlinks from related blogs that belong to real persons in assorted niches. Natural, safe and smart way to create backlinks for free of charge. You submit one article to Free Traffic System and it converts into up to 60 high quality one way backlinks! The viral part of Free Traffic System is undemanding – they reward folks for bringing others into this limitless project. You are receiving a BONUS backlink on each 3rd post that people whom you referred to Free Traffic System are making. This means you acquire bonus backlink on article No 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, etc. Of all individuals who got into the scheme via the colleague link.

As each article can be republished on up to 30 blogs in Free Traffic System, this means that one article with your bonus link equals to 30 backlinks from Free Traffic System. 2 articles = 60 bonus backlinks, 3 articles = 90 bonus backlinks. And this is in addition to the indefinite backlinks that you can create inside Free Traffic System by hand.

And the final advantage of the viral strategy. If you add at least one WordPress blogging site to Free Traffic System, they instantly expand the figure of bonus backlinks by 7%.

So, in Free Traffic System you acquire:

- at no cost backlinks that you generate yourself
- viral bonus backlinks on behalf of affiliating folks into the project

Did you know you can get paid to share links?

link-profit

link-profit

I first started blogging at a time when so many things on the internet were still young. People were still going crazy over the music sharing programs and file sharing programs at the time. It seemed as if every other website I saw was some sort of music website.

This is where I first learned of sharing links for a profit. At the time I tried it out to see how well it would work. To put it plainly, it was a complete waste of time. The only sites this was profitable for was the music sites because they were sharing so many different music download links, that it was easy for them to get an extremely large number of clicks, thus making serious money.

Honestly I had all but put this thought out of my head until a few weeks ago. A few weeks ago I was sitting on twitter when I clicked a link and found the person who posted it was using a link sharing profit program, only this one was disguised as a “twitter profit” program.

I thought about it and realized that sense I last tried link sharing profit programs a lot about the internet has changed. The first notable thing, and the whole reason for this article, is the fact that microblogging has brought link sharing to almost a normal activity on the internet.

Sites like stumble upon, tumblr, and twitter are popping up on a daily basis and are created for one reason, sharing links. Another commonplace that has popped up is the indea of social marketing. With social marketing you are constantly referring people to various websites, programs, and articles.

You are letting your friends know exactly what you are doing on the internet. You are talking to clients getting them to signup for programs and services or getting them to buy products. All these things are about links.

So I decided perhaps it was time to give this whole link sharing for profits thing a try again. The program I chose is called link-profit. I chose this program for a couple reasons. First of all, unlike the twitter versions of these programs, link-profit has been in the industry for a long time. They are well known in the area of music sharing and file sharing.

This means my likelihood of making money and actually getting paid is much great. I am a firm believer in trusted long standing companies in an industry. Second, they have what is commonly known in the seo world as search friendly links. Each link you create with link-profit is created with search engines in mind.

Finally, they give you click based tracking, which is always important.

Now if you are lost and confused and have no idea what link sharing for profits even means, let me explain. Link-profit is a company that pays you $.0006 everytime someone clicks one of your links.

You create an account with them and are presented with a textarea to insert your own url’s. Then you submit and a list of url’s are given back to you. Each of these url’s adds a banner over your site and you get paid every time someone clicks your link.

Now if you are doing your math correctly, that means it takes hundreds of clicks just to earn a few pennies. Thats correct! However you are already sharing links!!!

Let me show you a real world example. For this example I am using one of my affiliate program links http://followe.rs/g5u

First I logged into my link-profit account. I then added my url http://followe.rs/g5u to the textbox and click submit.

A link was produced http://followe.rs-g5u.skk.link-profit.com/

You can see by the created link that they keep it seo friendly. How? By leaving your url untouched – followe.rs remains exactly how it is, they just append more to it.

http://followe.rs-g5u.skk.link-profit.com/ Now if you click the link you will notice a banner over top of my affiliate site. This is why I get paid.

So I retested the program 15 days ago. Not knowing exactly what to expect I only tested it on one of my microblogging sites, my twitter bots. On twitter I have 6 bots set up that post my links over and over to about 5000 people.

Now in the past 15 days I have generated $0.67. Doesn’t seem like its worth it right? But wait hear me out before you stop reading. First of all $.67 is not a lot but I as I just said, this was only one of my social sites. What if I had also been posting these links to facebook, myspace, tumblr, stumbleupon, delicious, or any other number of sites.

This $0.67 would easily turned into a few dollars. However whats great about link-profit is that it is set up to be a residual income. See I bet that you, like myself, also know people who share links on facebook, twitter, myspace, newsletters, emails, and a great deal of other places.

Thats what really makes this program so profitable, they allow you to make money off signing up friends who can also make money sharing links. They pay you 20% of the earnings of all your friends.

Basically what I am telling you is if you can get 10 or so people to use the service, and you also actively use the service to share links with others, you can easily have an additional $50 a month.

And if anyone is doubting I use this program myself, open my tweetboard or visit my twitter account and click any number of links you see. They all use the service because it works.

So if you are interested you can signup for link profit at:

Google adsense or affiliate advertising?

affiliate marketing

affiliate marketing

Its a question every serious blogger asked themselves as some point, should I be using adsense to make money or should I have affiliate links on my website.

The problem is there is that there are so many people who boast about both that there seems to be no happy medium. Those who use adsense swear by it and those who use affiliates swear by them.

Well I am going to try to help you with this question. The real answer to this question, is based on a few lot of factors about your blog. I will go through each of the factors with you and show you where you belong with your blog.

  • what is the topic of your blog?

This is the first question you need to ask yourself. What is the topic of your blog. If you have a blog that maintains focus around one particular topic, then affiliate advertising may be the way you want to go.

Some examples of sites that maintain focus are:
ben-10-alien-force.info: This is a project my 6 year old and myself work on. Its a blog whose topic focus’s around the hit cartoon network tv series Ben 10.

handbag buzz: One of the blogs who is owned by a friend whom I help by offering them free blog coaching. She focus’s all her topics and posts around handbags. Topics such as cleaning, various handbag designs, mens handbags, etc.

Free iphone 3GS: This is a blog that talks all about the iphone. It is specifically designed to help people get iphones for free. Basically, if you want to learn about iphones or get an iphone here is the place.

Blogs that center around a specific topic are looking to obtain very targeted traffic, the iphone site is specifically geared towards people interested in cell phones. The handbag site is specifically geared towards people who like handbags, the ben10 site is specifically geared towards children who like ben10.

Because the audience is so targeted, its easy to know what they are going to buy, therefore there is better profits in commission based sales. Clearly children who go to a ben10 site, are also going to bug their parents to buy a really cool poster they see on the site. What I don’t know however is that that same child is going to buy a dora the explorer poster.

This is why affiliate marketing is so powerful for this type of site. Unlike with Google adwords and similar programs, with affiliate marketing you can hand select products and stores who you wish to work with, which in the long run greater increases your chance of making a sale.

The fact is however not all blogs are quiet so targeted. For example a personal blog may have different posts and a different type of traffic every day. That person is going to have know clue what the visitor is interested in (hint if your target audience is teens through people in early 20’s, music sells!). If they have no clue what the visit is interested in, Google adsense is often the way to go.

Google targets the traffic that comes to your site automatically and they do so for each page and post you make. So if today you post about some speech the president made, today’s post may have a bunch of political links distributed via Google adsense. Then if tomorrow you post about how sick you are feeling, on tomorrows post Google may pick to advertise cold medications.

If you have a news style blog, adsense may also be a good choice for you. No one knows what tomorrows news is going to be and no one knows who is going to look at what story. Today you may have a story about a plane crash and get 100 people who want to read about. Tomorrow you may be posting about a tornado and get an entire different audience of the exact same size. Both audiences have different interests. For this, Google adsense comes in handy.

  • Why do you own a blog?

I ask this because if you are not passionate about the topic you have chosen or if you are using article spinning/article generating software, then its very likely you are one of the ones who wants to own as many blogs as possible and do as little work as possible.

If this is the case, then Google adsense is likely the way for you to go (at least to start). The reason for this is because you are going to have a massive amount of blogs, and then you can use Google adsense on each of them thus increasing your chances for clicks, and your profits. If you can master this method, good for you, its not my method.

However those who do use the above method, are advised as time goes on to slowly start to switch yours blogs over based on the topic to affiliate marketing, if you can target correctly there is better money in affiliate marketing.

Just like with the last question, do you own your blog because its an addition or part of a new website? Or perhaps your blog is the news website and that is the reason for its existence, to share news. If this is the case, just like above, Google adsense is the way for you.

Basically adsense is the way to go when you have absolutely no idea who your target audience is, or if your target audience changes day by day and/or post by post.

Also please note when I refer to Google adsense I am referring to any adsense style program when you are paid on a per click basis and the ads are targeted for you.

  • What age group is your target audience

This is a very important question to ask yourself. What is the age range of the people you are targeting. If you are targeting people ages 40 and up, then perhaps Google adsense is right for you.

The reason for this is the majority of people over 40 are more skeptical about where they spend money and usually realize that people who can afford to pay for advertising are also more secure to hand over credit card information to. Adsense gets a better click ratio for this reason.

If your target is people aged 14 to 30 they generally are computer suave and only spend money on very specific items. Generally these items revolve around music, television, and sports. If you are targeting this age range and are not using these types of affiliate products in your advertising, then I would strongly recommend Google adsense.

Lastly if you are targeting people between 30 and 40, I would say its a 50/50 toss up. They generally tend to spend more money online, but they also tend to blindly click more. For this reason I recommend people falling in this category use a mix of the two.

If you really can’t figure out what type of advertising to use on your blog, don’t hesitate to check out my front page and drop me a line, I’d be glad to offer you some assistance.

Do bloggers need lead capture pages?

instant capture page

Lead Capture Page

A lead capture page is in all reality nothing more or less then an email form with a purpose. The purpose is finding all the users who are interested in certain products and services and gathering their email addresses.

Why would you want to do that?

Well imagine for a second you are a business person in the market of selling ebooks. One of your ebooks is about cooking. Now logically not everyone is interested in cooking. So which of your website traffic is? How do you know who to target future cooking ebooks too?

This is the purpose of a lead capture page. With a lead capture page, you can gather all the emails of people who are interested in cooking ebooks. Everyone who buys your ebook, and everyone who puts in their email information can now receive emails directly from you about future cooking ebooks you may offer!

The question becomes, do you as a blogging professional need a lead capture page? The answer is very simply, yes! Why? Because as a blogger you offer all sorts of different services and products. You have many different affiliates selling many different products.

With a lead capture page, you can gather all the emails of people interested in various products. For example I can capture the emails of people who are interested in twitter products and organize them into one mailing list, and all the people interested in myspace products and organize them into another mailing list. Now when I find a new twitter product, I have an email list full of people who I already know are interested in the product!

The problem for most people is how exactly to go about gathering those emails. Certainly just putting a simple form on your website isn’t going to cut it, you’d need 15 forms, one for each topic at hand. I’d need one set up for people interested in twitter products, another for myspace products, another for blogging products, another for marketing products… and then where would my content go? I’d have a page of nothing but forms!

So how does one solve this? Its called an instant capture page.

An instant capture page allows you to place your lead capture page on top of any website. For example you can put one on your favorite clickbank affiliate link and capture emails of everyone who goes to buy the product or check it out.

If what I am saying sounds confusing, check out the two links below for examples.

My twitter account lead capture page
A clickbank affiliate lead capture page

So are you interested in getting your own instant capture pages? If so check out the link below:

Blog Advertising: Getting paid with Pay Per Post Programs

Today I want to talk to you about pay per post programs. This is one of the best ways to make money as a blogger. The way it works is you sign up for an account which takes a few seconds, then you submit your blog to them for review. After reviewing your blog and ensuring you are not just a spam blog or automated blog, they accept you.

Then you get to set prices and all sorts of other options and advertisers who meet your criteria are put in contact with you. Honestly this is an AWESOME way to make money. You can make anywhere between $1 and $30 per post depending on your traffic levels. I would also imagine if you get HUGE traffic you could get even more.

The truth is with these types of programs, you never know if they will work for you until you try. Some bloggers are surprised that their topic seems to be “hot” for certain types of advertisers, others find no matter what they do advertisers just don’t contact them.

You can try out pay per post using the signup form to right. If you would rather learn more about what it is the link is now included in the menu to left. If you have any questions about the program I have been actively using it for a while and am more then happy to respond to anything you want to know.

Blog Advertising: Generating income with reseller programs

Click here to get IM Buzz Software Membership

This doesn’t apply to “every” blog but it definitely applies to a lot of them. Today I am going to talk about the benefits of reseller programs and just what they offer you and how for very little investment you can sell your own products at whatever price you want. This also allows you to create affiliate programs for your software and pay others to sell for you.

Generally there are two popular types of reseller programs. The first is that of ebooks and the second is that of software. This is why its doesn’t apply to every blog, not every blog is set up in a way where software or ebooks are beneficial.

However for those who have tech blogs, marketing blogs, template blogs, or any similar type of blog, you really want to consider what I am about to say.

The hottest selling things on the internet today are information and software. Ebooks teach people how to do things in a hurry. Most ebooks are short and sell for around $60.00.

As an affiliate of someone selling an ebook you generally get paid between 10% and 30% of each sale. That means you make between $6 and $20. However if you flip those odds around, you make 10 times that. Why?

As an affiliate selling a product, you are one person. You benefit from each product you sell. As the owner of a product, you make not only the $60 per sale, you can also make $40 per sale on sale made by YOUR affiliates.

The question is what reseller programs to get involved with. This can be very tricky and it is hard for me to recommend. I know what works for me but what works for me will not always work for others.

For me I have a platinum upgrade account with http://www.imbuzzsoftware.com.

IMBuzz Software has given me 30+ applications that I can completely rebrand, customize, and sell at whatever cost I want. They have also given me access to over 15 ebooks that I can rename, re-write, change, do whatever I want to, sell, give away whatever.

Whats great about reseller ebooks is after you buy them, you can go through and add your own affiliate links through out the ebook and then just give the books away and convert that way.

If you have a marketing blog or can in some way benefit from giving away marketing software and ebooks, you also can get a free silver account account for a limited time. Not quiet as many options as the gold and platinum accounts, but it gives you a basic idea of whats inside.

The software is of AMAZING quality. Thats the best I can tell you. You’ll have to check the rest out for yourself. If you are targeting anyone trying to start a home based business, creating a blog or website, or in some other way involved with internet marketing, in my opinion you are a fool not to invest in a platinum upgrade account.

After you have your reseller account, start setting up affiliate programs for the software and ebooks with pay dot com. It costs nearly nothing (if anything at all) and can definitely generate you some serious income from products.

If you have a reseller program you want me to test, drop me a url. I will look into it. (I make no promises of investment but I am always on the lookout)

Twitter advertising: Ways to generate income with twitter

Be a magpie

Be a magpie

Well after numerous recommendations and complaints I finally decided its time to talk about generating income. After all that is exactly why you are blogging and what you are wanting to do right? So for some time to come that is what I will be talking about. Various programs and ways of making money online that actually pay out and are not scams.

So today I am going to focus on twitter. There are a lot of ways to make money on twitter but after testing many of them I find only a few are worth investing in. Please keep in mind I do not involve myself with any pay per click affiliate programs. Pay per clicks involve high volumes of traffic and click ratios to be truly effective. I would rather make a percentage on sales, I have found this pays more in my experience.

AdCause
The first program on twitter I want to talk about is quite brilliant. Its called adcause.com. This program allows you to sell tweets based on a per tweet/monthly rate.

It sounds confusing but its really simple. For example you could sell 1 out of 20 of your tweets for an entire month at the price of $5.00. This means someone see’s your twitter advertising slot and has the option to buy it. If they do, they pay you $5.00 to your paypal, and for the next month, 1 out of every 20 of your tweets will be an advertisement.

Logically the more users and the more often you tweet, the more your tweets are going to be worth. However I have found that the best selling price is $1.00 or less for 1 out of 10 posts for a month. For those of you who have a bot with a LOT of followers, this is perfect. It just ads the advertisement to your stream!

Be a Magpie
The second twitter program I use is be-a-magpie.com. This is very similar to the way AdCause works except you don’t get to set a price, the advertiser gets to make you an offer. In my opinion this is better on both ends.

There is one drawback to this method from the publisher standpoint. Many advertisers (in fact a majority) who contact you with offers, want to do pay per sale. This means you are giving out free advertising unless you make a sale. I’d rather be payed based on tweet count.

However I have used both of these programs from an advertiser standpoint and I must say for those forking out the money, magpie is a much better solution.

TwittAd
The third program I want to talk to you about is called twittad.com. This is a very unique idea and honestly works well but it seems very few people are actually getting involved. Its probably because the website is very confusing and hard to set up, however trust me when I tell you it is well worth it.

Basically with this site, you post your twitter account to advertisers. You offer the advertiser a chance to promote a product or service using your twitter background. The advertiser then pays you based on the number of new followers you get while displaying the ad. This is actually VERY beneficial to both publisher and advertiser and I highly recommend the program to everyone.

Also they have great support so if you get lost in their dashboard interface, or can’t figure out how to set up your account, just contact them. They are very friendly.

Followe.rs
The last program is also the best program for generating money with twitter. The program is called followe.rs and how it works is so basic its brilliant. You buy an account with them (yes sadly it takes money to make money sometimes but a simple one month trial and you will be hooked) and they add every single person who is a member to your follower list and you follow them all back automatically.

How does this generate your money? Thats the brilliant part. They search out people on twitter who would also be interested in the service, follow them, and then send them a message recommending the service. You make money for each person who also signs up.

Think about what I am saying. You are able to offer people the change to get paid to build their follower list. Its that simple! There is no better selling, or easier to sell program on twitter. You can go from have zero followers, to 3000 in literally a few days time, and you get paid!

So now you have a few basic ways of using twitter to generate some extra money. None of these programs will help you get rich by themselves, but the more programs you are involved with, the bigger those checks become! Making real income online is all about being diversified and this is just one of many ways to do that.

If you have other “set up and forget” style twitter programs that generate money, please let me know of them, just make sure they are all quality. I don’t want something that hijacks links or anything like that. I am sick of those programs and refuse to open anyone’s link who uses them.

Seo Tip: Easy Link Manager

Easy Link Manager

Easy Link Manager

I assume by now nearly all my traffic uses twitter. So do me a favor, imagine you are looking at twitter and picture a link you have seen or clicked on. You know there is better then a 95% chance that you were picturing a bit.ly link?

Think of how much traffic you hand away every time you post a link on twitter. How are you handing it away? Because even the people who click it, still associate it with twitter and a bit.ly link. But what if you never had to use bit.ly or any other url shortening service? What if every time someone saw your link, they saw www.yourdomain.com? Sure right away they wouldn’t notice but after seeing it over and over the way we do with twitter, they would associate your content with your site url!

Trust me when I say its so much easier to brand your website if people see the url!

If you don’t use twitter then perhaps you have no idea what bit.ly is nor do you care. However you are also handing away traffic only you are handing it away to your affiliates. Think about your best selling product. What company comes to mind? The company who actually owns the product and pays you right? Sadly chances are so do your visitors.

What if that’s not a problem anymore? What if when your visitors see’s http://someaffiliate.store.com/stupid.php?affiliate=code it no longer says that. It just says http://yoursite.com/store. Which do you think is going to be easier to remember?

Also keep this in mind. Its very very hard if not impossible to get google to index your affiliate codes. however you have a lot of control over what google indexes of your site. This is because of rss feeds and xml sitemaps. This means all the http://yoursite.com/store style links you create, can now be added to your sitemaps and indexed by google!

Finally how good is the tracking software you use? Does it tell you every time a link is clicked? Does it give you statistics of that information? Sure you may know what links were clicked on over the last week, but what about over the last year? Can your software tell you how many times your link has been clicked over the last year?

The solution to all the problems and software I keep referring to is called Easy Link Manager. I very highly suggest visiting their website and viewing the new 2.0 features of this software and reading a complete list of everything this software helps with. The video below is a bit outdated I believe however it still shows the power of what this software can do!
