Lately I have been going around seeing which programs I use are actually worth my customers investment from the free to the paid versions. One that has fully impressed and surprised me is actually of the cheapest of all the programs I am involved in. The program of coarse is the Free viral tweet code.

I tried this program because although it has a fairly basic interface, it also was very cheap. I wasn’t expecting much truthfully but sometimes that just helps the surprise when you find out what you actually get. So what did I find when I payed the fee?

Well first of all you get a 100% downloadable version without ads of the viral tweet code. That however, doesn’t make this program worth investing in. However all the extra’s, absolutely do!

After paying for a professional account, I visited the membership/download page and found so much information I was just left in awe. First I see an entire collection of twitter howto ebooks so large that virtually ANY can be a professional at twitter very quickly. The ebooks include the following titles: Easy twitter profits (Easy Tweeter Profits), Twitter Traffic Magic, A Geek’s Guide To Promoting Yourself And Your Online Business In 140 Characters Or Less With Twitter, The Smart Planner For Twitter, The Twitter Power Guide, The Twitter Report, Twitter Handbook, Twitter 101, Twitter Strategy Cash Map, Using Twitter for Business, and Why We Twitter: Understanding Micro blogging Usage and Communities.

You also receive a collection of 10 twitter icons that you can use for whatever projects you wish. You also receive an exclusive guide for teachers that can also be used to help you find teachers on any subject! There are also a couple of PLR ebooks included that you can compile and resell. Finally there is a very complete and comprehensive list of twitter applications that you can download from the internet.

Basically what I am telling you is buying a membership into this system gives you access to so many things and so much information that it would be CRAZY not to check this out. It costs less the $10 and can be paid via paypal. I am happily impressed and have no problem recommending both the free and the paid version of this service!

This is my most asked question lately: how exactly do I go about creating a twitter bot? Its really not as complicated as one would think. I will walk you through the process.

Step One: Creating a new twitter account for your bot

First you need to goto twitter.com and log out of any account you are logged into. Then you need to go through the process of creating a new twitter account that you will dedicate to being a bot.

When creating your twitter bot account, keep this in mind. Accounts with seemingly real names and a picture get followed more frequently then obvious made up names and accounts without a picture. The only time to veer from this general thought is when you want to claim SEO of your twitter page.

When I say claiming seo I mean picking a highly relavent name relating to the posts you will make. For example I have recently created a bot @problogmarketer. This name clearly states what my bot tweets will be about and who they will help. They are about marketing with blogs and anyone who has a blog would be interested in following.

Step Two: Make a twitter post
This is an important step! You do not want the first people to find your bot to say to themselves “great another bot”. Instead you want them to be saying “hmm a real person. I think I will follow”. This is a key to making bots! To ensure people think you are real you want to make a post as if you are using twitter for the first time. After all you have no followers at this point.

A simple twitter post like “I am new and trying to make some friends on twitter but not sure I understand things yet” will work wonders. Also your first posts you want to use your popular hashtags. For example I usually try to start out using words like #blog, #blogs, #seo, #sem, and #serp when I set up my marketing blogs.

Another trick to use when making your first post is adding a link to your myspace or facebook profile. For example a great first post could say something like “Hey everyone I am new to twitter but you can find me on facebook at http….”

These types of first posts make people want to follow you more then if you instantly start spamming advertising.

Step Three: Building a following with The MTF Dashboard

Now you want to load up MTF dashboard. If you don’t know what MTF dashboard is yet, check out my post Professional Twitter Marketing Revealed / A Complete Twitter Marketing Solution. This post includes the download link.

After loading MTF dashboard you want to login to twitter through the dashboard. When logging into the dashboard you really want to pay close attention to what account you are truly signed into. Make sure your dashboard has the correct name for the bot you are working on. Sometimes twitter messes up and logs you other accounts on the same computer.

Next you want to build up your follower list with the MTF dashboard. To do this, pick a very relavent keyword or hashtag – search terms like facebook, myspace, and chat work great for this! If you are using a hashtag note that you can’t use the # sign. You must use %23. So if you want to use the #fb hashtag it would look like %23fb.

Note: You want to disable email notices from your settings before continuing!

Now put the relevant search term in the “key word” box of MTF dashboard and set the “limit” box to 1000. Then just [start the task]. You want to have at least 100 followers before you go on to step 4. This is highly important. If you start step 4 before you have 100 followers, building your follower list is going to be increasingly harder.

After you get the 100 followers (this can take anywhere from 1 day to 1 week depending how good you are at convinsing people you are real) you are ready for step 4.

Step Four: Adding rss feeds to your bot

This is the fastest and easiest means of getting a bot going. Rss feeds allow you to post automatically to twitter based on titles, descriptions, and links found in the rss feed. So where do you get rss feeds? Well they are everywhere! The first place to look is your blog. After that you are definitely going to want a clickbank account. You can create one by clicking the clickbank link in the MTD dashboard.

Clickbank is a service that allows you to search and pick products to sell and earn commissions on. You are paid via paypal. After you have a clickbank account you need to use the dashboard to visit the clickbank feed generator.

To generate a clickbank feed just add a keyword, add your clickbank id, and create feed. Great keywords, especially for use with a twitter bot are things like “twitter”, “tweets”, and “seo”. After your feed (or feeds) is created, store the feed address somewhere. You will be needing this for step 5.

Gathering up all your feeds and storing them in a text file is what I find to be easiest because you will need this information quiet frequently.

Next you want to go back to the MTF dashboard and find your favorite “free twitter bot” service. My personal recommendation is the first one on the list http://twitterfeed.com/ so thats what I am going to use in this example.

So chose twitterfeed from the dashboard bot list and set up an account. The process is very straight forward and you only need 1 account. You can add as many bots as you need from this account. After creating an account with twitterfeed, login!

After logging in you should see the feed dashboard. Just click on create new feed, and then plugin the information you want. Note that if you use bit.ly shortening service when creating your bots you can monitor click tracking, HOWEVER its very probably that because of twitters close relationship with bit.ly that it may be monitored. The decision is yours (when I say monitored I mean that twitter may monitor or gain access to statistics and kick out spammers easier during spam sweeps)

My personal preferences when setting up my rss feeds are as follows: Check for new posts every 30 minutes; post up to 5 new updates at a time; Include title only; Shorten link through bitly with no api info given; Post new items based on GUID with sorted feed unchecked.

The next setting is VERY important and will come up later. With feeds you should always use the post suffix, never the prefix. Its just considered standard on twitter. And what do you put there?

Relevant hashtags. If you have a feed about dog products you might want #dogs #pets and #cats. If you have a feed about twitter you want a selection of #twitter #tweet #affiliate #marketing (you are limited by characters just pick favorite and switch them from time to time).

Repeat this process for as many feeds or bots as you want. When you create the bot bot you will be asked what account to attach it to.

Step five: Adding Auto Follow/Auto Dm features to your bot

For adding a DM and auto follow features to my bot, I use the second bot service on the MTF bot list called http://tweetbots.com/. This is very easy to set up. Just login to the service, click bots from the top left menu, click create new bot, add your account information, and check the auto follow and auto DM checkboxes.

When creating your DM avoid using any url’s. Tell people exactly why you are there, what type of information you will be giving them, or in some way say hello and thank them for following. People who get spammed in DM’s are twice as likely to block you.

Step Six: Tweet into the future

For this step I strongly recommend getting a paid account with tweet later. I recommend this because its the only service I have found that allows you to upload future tweets from a bulk text file upload. All the other require manual tweet creation.

However I am going to assume for the sake of this post that you don’t have an pro account. If you just can’t afford or refuse to pay for a professional account ,the work load is going to be nearly 100x but either weay its worth having. For future tweets use your pay dot com style affiliates. These are the ones who don’t provide you feed but instead give you hand selections to chose from.

Grab links to your favorite products and create your posts. Just like when posting via the web, all posts have to be 140 characters including the link. Then log into the first service listed under the tweet into the future of tyhe MTF dashboard. The service is called http://futuretweets.com/.

Create your accounts (you need one account for each bot you have) and login. From that point everything is self explanatory. Just click Schedule and make your posts one by one setting various times in the future. Make a tweet no more then 5 times before changing the wording around. Twitter will block to many of the exact same tweets with the same urls.

At this point you should have a fully functional twitter bot. The only feature it is missing is auto retweets. This is something that is a lot more complicated then a normal bot and I will explain that another time. If you simply MUST know sooner, post a comment.

This is the hottest twitter application/service at the moment. Watch the video to understand. Basically put, they pay you to build your follower list. AWESOME!!! When I first found this program I didn’t expect it would work, or pay off. I am glad I paid the $1 for my two week trial cause this is just AWESOME! Get in on this before it is too late.

In just under 24 hours of using this program I have already made 2 sales and earned $20. May not seem like much but imagine making $20 a day off just 1 program? Thats $600 a month. Then you add all your other programs in with it, who wouldn’t want to join? This is the easiest and fastest way to grow followers. Check this out before it stops working.

How many ebooks have you seen that can “teach you to get rich in a month”? How many applications have you seen to grow your twitter following? Have you ever even considered one of these ebooks or softwares?

The fact is I have. I’ve actually invest in various ebooks and products that ALL fall short of what was expected or what was claimed. However I have picked up some tricks and tips from some of this reading.

Well I am not one who likes scams, lies, or half truths. So yet again I am going to bring you a secret the twitter marketers don’t want to let people in on. I am letting you in on the secrets of the professionals and I am not charging you one penny to learn them.

First let me start by explaining to you the three main reasons people are using twitter, because honestly it all boils down to three reasons. Some people use it to be social and interact with people on a live basis. They use twitter as a social website much like a large chat that saves what people say.

The others use it to watch their tweet feeds. They scan through see if they have any interesting headlines and if so they click them, if not they post to twitter for a few minutes then go about other business.

Finally we have those trying to market some product or service and make money. That’s the category most of us fit into (at least I assume so if you are reading this blog).

Honestly the first two types of twitter users are the ones we care about. The trick is to appease both types of people. For example, I have my main twitter account @bloggingforbuck. I hardly ever spam this account and when I do I make it plainly obvious by warning my followers first.

I also direct people to my twitter bot @blogging4bucks. The bot is used for one reason, to market goods and products. I do this to appease to those who are on twitter for the feed and not the interaction. In fact I have over 10 bots set up all over twitter under various names.

Why would I do that? Because twitter monitors smaller accounts less plus its just easier that way. If I can get each of 10 accounts to have 2000+ followers, thats effectively marketing to about 10,000 people (some will be duplicates thats why the low number).

So how do I go about building these followers and creating all these bots? Well I have created a free software just for that purpose. So I posted an article a while back called The Best Kept Marketing Secret revealed. I actually received a couple of emails and got a couple of tweets that basically said that was one of my worst posts ever.

Well if you are of the many who didn’t fully grasp the concept of why viral tweet is so powerful I am here with a part two of that first posting. I am going to show you why viral tweet is so powerful and why everyone should be using it to market with twitter.

After you have installed viral tweet you get a series of configuration options. Depending if you have a free or paid account defines just how many options you have. Of those options is one that says “Redirect URL” (this is in both free and paid versions). This redirect url is what truly gives the power to the free viral tweet.

This really has nothing to do with my blog at all but somehow people keep finding this blog by searching the topics “stop mytweetfollowers auto update” and “stop mytweetfollowers” and similar searches.

So I figured I would present those people with some nice advice, the fix is really easy because as you have likely figured out there is no “real” stop auto following option, nor a “stop spamming” option.

The fix is simply this, change your twitter password.

Yeah its a pain if a lot of services other then mytweetfollowers log into your account, but honestly its the only method I have found that works. Send twitter a compaint is my recommendation, but remember these guys are really busy with truly important issues (like loss of friends) so it may take time to get issues like this resolved.

This also works with most “get followers” automated programs.

After a while everyone with any kind of success can tell you that they have created a toolbox of blog marketing applications that they use. These are the applications that either help them with marketing or help them with advertising. I am no exception to this! My toolbox contains my favorite twitter marketing applications, my favorite myspace applications, and my favorite social marketing programs. Today I decided I am going to bring my toolbox of tools to you.

Below thats exactly what you are going to find, my list of tools in the order of importance to me. Please note some of these tools have multiple functions like making money on twitter and making money on myspace. I have included a brief description with each application or program.

1. Friend Blaster Pro: Friend blaster pro is the most brilliant application I have ever used. This is a complete myspace advertising solution all in one package. Whether you just want to do some myspace marketing or whether you plan to fully utilize the social marketing platform to make money on myspace this program is my highest recommendation. This does everything from build your friends list to post bulletins and its all completely automated! If it were not for this application I would not even attempt to make money with myspace.
2. The Twitter Bot This is one of my most useful finds ever! It helps with twitter marketing and making money on twitter. It does automated twitter followings, automated tweets, automated retweets, hashtag monitoring, and a ton of other useful things! Again I say if you plan to do any twitter advertising or plan on making money with twitter you want this program!! Trust me. Even if you use twitter to talk to others, when you are not at your computer this program works wonders!!
3. Tweetlater I cannot recommend creating an account here enough. A free account just doesn’t cut it. In fact take the one week trial of a paid tweetdeck account and you will see why. I pay for a monthly subscription to this program for one reason and one reason only, it can do what the tweet bot can’t do. It can stay running no matter what I do or where I go! I don’t even have to have my computer running and this program works great! I can post for months and months by setting up tweets for later dates and times. Where tweetbot can do the same, it also uses a lot more resources so their are definitely times I need to turn it off. Making money with twitter has never been easier then it is with this program. Its only downfall as I have noticed it is can’t auto retweet.
4. Free Viral Tweets This program is the best at getting people to retweet your message. It is also used by websites all across the net that claim to “grow your twitter following” on autopilot. This program works and gets others to tweet your website. Check out what the paid vcersion offers and think of how many times you have clicked such links that others have posted. Its hard to explain this program but its definately one I can’t live without!
5. WebCeo I would have crap search results if it were not for this program. Its totally free and comes as my one and only SEO recommendation. In fact just using the analysis reports from this software you can effectively offer paid advice to companies! This software is no joke. Companies like IBM even trust this software. There are paid services and seminars offered through the company that makes this software and I do recommend them highly, but the software itself is priceless… yet its free!!!
6. Instant Article Wizard Pro Simply put, I can’t survive as a blogger without this program. It takes to much time to do the correct research involved on any number of topics and this program automates the program for me. Of all the programs I use I actually use this one the most. 7. Easy comment 1.1 Although this program no longer works for firefox as of firefox 3.5 it still works perfectly with the flock web browser. This cuts down the time it takes to comment on blogs greatly! I posted an article about using this plugin with greyhat blog marketing practices to build a lot of backlinks in a hurry. Its worth check out!
8. Link Referral This is a free web based program used to build traffic, find other blogs, and build links. This is the easiest traffic to come by and the program is one of the few of its kind that I have found actually works!
9. lavalinx This is a program I haven’t explained yet on this blog. Its for social bookmark trading. I won’t go into details yet but if you can figure it out, its hundreds of free one way links!!
10. flock Web Browser Its kind of funny the a web browser made it into my toolbox but in this day and age of being social, it seemed the only real way to go. The toolbars and features it offers are uncompairable and thats especially true of a blogger. I can’t even get into half the features of this blog without making a full manual so all I say is try it for yourself.

If you have REALLY helpful tools that do things my tools don’t, please feel free to share. Make sure however they are not just a link to a program that does something my toolbox can already do!

My father worked in the corporate world for most of my life. He was one of those men who wore a suit coat and tie and worked behind a computer desk all day. I learned a lot of what I know about computers because of him. My mother however, she owned her own business. When it came to advertising and marketing a business, I learned that from her.

My mother owned a painting business and for her only one means of advertising worked, social advertising. One of the best ways for her to advertise believe it or not was by going to local church functions. What I learned was that people who go to church want to help other members of their church. So they started recommending my mothers services to their friends and acquaintances. In less then one year of her starting her business, she had so many customers she started refusing some.

The truth is this is the best method of advertising a business, but its also the hardest. As a blogger who wants to make money social marketing is everything! Why? Because you are effectively a writer on your given topic and your audience are people who want to hear what you say. A blog is within itself a social networking medium! However effective social marketing is different for every situation and this is what makes it so hard.

First their is offline social marketing. This type of social networking always works best. Whenever you can sit with like minded people, you are marketing yourself socially. MLM marketing professionals know this method well. That’s why it has become a common practice for MLM marketers to meet offline to try to build up their down lines.

The problem is its hard to target an audience offline and no one can give perfect details. For example if you own a blog about dogs, pet care, and pet services going to dog shows, pet walks, and other pet events is going to be a great way to network socially. If you have a blog about music you may want to go to concerts and music events to do your networking. If you have a fashion blog going to local avon and makeup parties and other fashion events are great for social marketing. The thing is each topic in life has its own audience. Its a matter of figuring that audience out and being social with them.

Not every market is so easy to figure out though. Take this blog for example. Its a blog teaching others about blogging. How does one market a blog like this offline? Well honestly I reach out to bloggers! They have blogger meets where bloggers talk about the newest and best marketing methods and get to meet others who also blog. Also places like job fairs are a great place. Honestly everyone has an offline market its just a matter of figuring out who your market is.

Now I said earlier that offline social marketing is the hardest. The truth is its the hardest for one reason and one reason only. Your personality is everything. You see with online social marketing is easy to fake a personality however offline its not so easy. You actually have to be a likable person and a social butterfly. Others have to want you around.

However online social marketing has its twists and turns also. Online is both easier and harder to network socially. For example its easier for a person to glue on a smiley face and pretend to be a nice likable person even if they are really a rude crude unlikable jerk, however its much harder to find people who are genuinely interested in what you have to say. Whereas offline all you have to do is make a presence at the social events you are targeting and talk to a few people, online you have to not only talk to people but you have to convince them that out of the millions of people online, you have something original to say and something original to promote.

The truth and reality is that the internet is one giant advertisement after another. Because of this people have become very accustomed to seeing advertising and hearing people talk about their great new websites and website services especially in the social network realms. Now when a person online has a friend who out says “hey I have a blog” or “I have a website” they look at that friend and say “oh so you want to sell me something”. With online social marketing you have to convince them that you are not trying to sell them anything, that they will be genuinely interesting in your offers, or you must somehow give them some other reason to visit your site over all the millions that are also marketing!

So far I have talked a lot about the online social market known as twitter. I have told you about auto tweet services like Tweet Later (I highly recommend this service and will make an official post about it at some point) and I have told you how to build your following up. I also have recommended that for myspace people use the program friend blaster pro to build up a following and to market their blog posts and articles (another program highly recommend I will go into full detail about sometime soon).

What I havn’t really talked about is your actual socializing. This is where 99% of online social marketing fails. You must be social on a social site. You must build real interaction with your friends. For example on myspace, its great if you have 10,000 followers. Its great if you play all the little myspace apps with them. However its not really productive. You want to be even more real to your clients then that. You want to email them and say “hey I noticed you were interested in blah blah blah and thought I’d drop you a line because of it. Honestly I LOVE to talk about stuff like that.” …. etc. You get the idea.

You can also use little things like, visit the profiles of the people on your friends list. When your friend adds new things, comment them telling them what you think. When they add new pictures comment them and tell them which ones you like best least, etc. The more real you become to these people, the more likely they will consider you a real cyber friend, not just someone they follow/returned request of.

This is also true with twitter. Sure you can just use it as a news ticker for your favorite topics and you may find great success with that, but I also promise you something else. It will be a short lived success. If instead you read the tweets of those you follow and you talk back and forth with them, you get them to see you are different and not just another person marketing something. You become real and they become interested. As a blogger this is exactly what you want! This is also exactly what social networking and social marketing is all about.

This is the practice commonly known as branding. It does take time but as I have tried to show over and over again, you can still cheat the system and do things a lot quicker. Hopefully this little bit of information can help those out their who are misinformed about social marketing. Hopefully someone will read this and say to themselves that perhaps they can be a bit more social and a bit less marketing to make a business name for themselves.

Just remember unlike paid marketing, social marketing is something unique and different

Okay so after teaching this secret, I will not likely be posting anymore about twitter for a long time. This secret is just that good. First of all let me explain a few things before I show you the secret and tell you how it works. This is a secret for blog owners and website owners. This little trick will not help anyone who is marketing affiliate products without a website. You absolutely need a website for this to work.

Okay so let me explain. When twitter first started some brilliant “marketing guru” (probably one of the fools who created hummingbird for twitter) got the funny idea in his head that the more people who follow you on twitter, the more people you have to market products and websites at. That is true, but only in its most vague form. You see because of this bad guy’s idea, massive people started looking for a means to build up their following. They paid for programs, they started following everyone they could and creating what twitter now calls follower churn.

Follower churn is the practice of following a mass amount of people then removing everyone who doesn’t follow you back. Do this enough and you build a following. There are three problems with this. One problem that has arose from this is that twitter will now ban accounts if they catch you doing follow churn techniques (trust me I’ve lost a few already). The second problem is that spammers started using this method, so now if you try it you get hundreds of spammers who don’t care about or ever visit your website. The last problem is a little more vague. The problem is building a twitter following is redundant. You already have a website, you want to get followers there! Why build two separate lists of followers? See why its redundant?

The truth is, as I have recently discovered, that you don’t need ANY twitter followers to use twitter to market a blog. You can get others to do it for you and its so easy no one even gets it. You want to know some of the websites using this method? I am sure you have heard of or visited at least one site using the method. Sites like twittrain.info, morefollowers.net, follower-power.com, followadd.com, mytweetfollowers.com, and Getmefollowers.com (highly recommended) are using this method all the time – not to build you followers but to build themselves traffic!

So you want to know what the method is and how to get it working for you? Before I explain what the method does and how to get it working I am going to prove that it works. That’s right, I am going to offer you proof that this method works before I tell you how to do it. So you want proof?

Below this paragraph is a form asking you for your twitter user name and your twitter password. There is no need to worry, this information is not stored anywhere. Its used for an example of just how awesome this method really is. Go ahead and enter your information and click on the submit button.

Now assuming you have done everything correctly, what you did was just sent out a twitter to everyone you know telling them of this marketing secret. That means you are sending all your twitter followers to my website, and I didn’t even do anything! If I didn’t even have a twitter account I could still use this method! You are marketing my website for me!

This means a lot for anyone who owns a website or blog. This means you can put code on your website or in a post and whenever a user types in their name and password, they advertise your website for you. The trick is getting them to actually type in their password and user name. So how do you do it? That’s just as easy. You create a page just like this teaching them how to do it! This is still an unknown twitter secret and you may want in on it before every website and marketing person on twitter tries it and overwhelms the twitterverse. When that happens, people will stop typing in user names and passwords and the method will stop working!

So to create your own page just like this one you need to get the free code from Free Viral Tweets. Follow their setup. Change the text message to suit your needs, remove the entire textarea tag if you want to make the post invisable like I did, and then create your page with the code included. Sit back and wait. It only take 1 person to tweet this for you to get a viral following.

Also I want to mention this method may not show results within days of doing this. Sometimes it takes a week or two. The truth is when it starts, it never ends. People will be marketing for you on twitter forever!

So I have talked a lot about twitter sense I started this blog and there is a huge reason for that. Twitter is a baby and its developing rather quickly. Its noting going to stay a baby long. The fact is what works today doesn’t work tomorrow. A week ago hummingbird was considered the hottest thing to hit twitter, now it no longer works.

I am not disappointed. I never needed to pay for hummingbird despite the claims and accusations. However I haven’t shared the secret before now. Hummingbird was a scam. People got charged $200 to do what could be done for free. You want to mass add followers? You want to mass remove those who don’t follow back? You want to do this on any number of accounts? Flash Tweet not only is and always was free, it also does what other services didn’t, it allows you to mass follow based on search terms and what people are talking about at the moment!

You can also automate tweets into the future. You can do it on a mass level for a mass amount of accounts. All you do is make a text file off all your tweets one tweet per line, create and account and upload your tweets at tweetlater and forget about.

With both of these services I highly recommend you be careful. Using mass follow programs is against the rules of twitter. Whereas auto tweeting isn’t, spamming is so make sure is post and each link you tweet is different and try to log on from time to time and actually talk to your followers. Personally I won’t follow anyone who doesn’t talk to me.
